Trust & Security

Effective date: 06/22/2026

Seventeen Ninety Partners recognizes that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information our clients share with us are vital to their success and ours. We treat the information entrusted to us as if it were our own, and we build that standard into how we work, who we work with, and the tools we use.

1. Our Commitment

Seventeen Ninety Partners is a professional services firm. We advise clients across freight, logistics, supply chain, SaaS, and AI on technology strategy, revenue operations, M&A, fractional leadership, and AI automation. In that work, clients routinely share sensitive commercial, operational, and strategic information with us, and protecting that information is central to our practice.

We follow industry-standard security and confidentiality practices, apply common sense and professional judgment to every engagement, and hold ourselves accountable to the same diligence we recommend to our clients. Trust is the foundation of every engagement we take on, and we manage our business to keep it.

2. Confidentiality & NDAs

We operate under mutual non-disclosure agreements with our clients and are prepared to execute an NDA before substantive information is exchanged. Confidentiality obligations survive the end of an engagement.

Client information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own purposes. We use it only to deliver the services a client has engaged us to perform.

  • We sign mutual NDAs and honor them as a matter of course, not as an exception.
  • Confidential client information is used solely to perform the engagement and is never sold or shared for marketing or any unrelated purpose.
  • We do not disclose the existence or details of an engagement, or use a client's name or logo, without that client's permission.
  • Where we apply our proprietary I7 framework, the client's own data and results remain the client's; the framework remains ours.

3. Data Handling & Retention

Our website is a marketing site. It has no login, no user accounts, no database of client records, and no payments processed on-site. The information we collect through it is limited.

When you contact us by email or phone, we receive the basic details you choose to share, such as your name, company, contact information, and the substance of your inquiry. We retain client and engagement materials only as long as needed to deliver our services and to meet our legal, tax, and professional record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or returned in accordance with our agreement with you.

  • Website data collected is limited to basic contact information you submit and standard web analytics.
  • We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager and standard cookies to understand site traffic and improve the site; these tools do not collect engagement materials.
  • Engagement work product and client data are handled per the terms of our agreement and retained only as long as there is a legitimate business, legal, or professional reason to do so.
  • On request at the close of an engagement, we will return or securely dispose of the client materials in our possession, subject to records we are required to keep.

4. Access Control

Access to client information is limited to the people who need it to do the work. We keep our engagement teams small and provide information on a need-to-know basis.

  • Only personnel assigned to an engagement have access to that client's confidential information.
  • Our team members are bound by the same confidentiality obligations the firm owes to its clients.
  • We use strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication on the accounts and tools that hold client information.
  • Devices used for client work are protected with passwords, screen locks, and current security updates.

5. Secure Tooling & Vendors

We deliberately rely on reputable, security-reviewed providers rather than building and maintaining our own infrastructure. Using established platforms lets us benefit from the security investments of vendors whose core business is keeping data safe.

Our website is hosted on a managed cloud platform and served over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We choose business-grade tools for email, file storage, collaboration, and analytics, and we review the security posture of a vendor before entrusting it with client information.

  • Website hosting on a managed cloud platform (Render) with encryption in transit by default.
  • Business-grade, access-controlled services for email, document storage, and collaboration.
  • Standard web analytics through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Vendors are selected for their security track record and are limited to the information they need to provide their service.

6. Business Continuity

We structure our operations so that client work can continue through routine disruptions. Because we rely on established cloud platforms for hosting, email, and document storage, our key information benefits from the redundancy and backup capabilities of those providers.

We maintain backups of important engagement records and keep contingency arrangements so that a single device failure or local outage does not interrupt our ability to serve clients.

  • Client and engagement records are backed up through reputable cloud providers with their own redundancy.
  • Work is not dependent on any single device or location.
  • We plan for routine disruptions so engagements stay on track.

7. Responsible Disclosure / Reporting a Concern

We welcome reports from clients, partners, and security researchers who identify a potential vulnerability or security concern involving our website or our handling of information. If you have found something, please tell us so we can look into it.

Email kris@1790partners.com with the details and steps to reproduce, if any. We ask that you give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address the issue before disclosing it publicly, and that you avoid accessing or altering data that is not yours. We will acknowledge legitimate reports and keep you informed of our response.

  • Report concerns to kris@1790partners.com with enough detail for us to reproduce and verify.
  • Please avoid privacy violations, data destruction, or service disruption while testing.
  • We will respond in good faith and address verified issues promptly.

8. Request Our Security Details

Many clients, particularly those undergoing procurement or vendor review, ask for additional detail about how we protect information. We are glad to provide it.

To request our current security practices, references, or a mutual NDA before sharing sensitive information, contact us directly. We will respond with the information appropriate to your engagement.
